My artwork spans a wide body of work, from sculpture to painting. I use artwork as a way to express profound moments of my life that are difficult to state simply in my words. I use emotion to guide my hand when creating art and memories to inspire those movements. In the series Violence, I address topics of grief, madness, and the loss of control. Works such like these use bright, highly saturated colors with expressive, gestural movement. My paintings in watercolor such as Mother Holding Her Child, and Heather are narrative works. They are inspired by my life and the moments that shaped who I am. In all of my artwork, I try to give the audience an insight into my life in a way that they might connect with.
